Sandra Simmons has always had a love for glass art. However, once she became a mother, raising her four children became her priority. Now that all four children are grown and focusing on their own careers, goals, and dreams, it is time for Sandra to focus on her dreams.
Sandra was introduced to the art of fused glass when her son planned a surprise fused glass birthday party for his wife in 2016. Realizing she liked working in fused glass, she started taking classes to learn how to work with the material. Fused glass art quickly went from a hobby to a passion.
For Sandra, fused glass art allows her to be creative, innovative, experimental, and it helps her to relax after a hard day’s work at her full time job. When Sandra is not working on a new piece of art, you can find her on the dance floor enjoying Argentine tango and ballroom dancing or you can find her in her studio working with her grandchildren, helping them to design and assemble their fused glass visions.
